Self-Care Summer: 23/100
Sometimes self-care is doing something nice for yourself while doing the things you don’t want to do.
Packing and prepping for our family vacation had me stressed. Grateful for the ability to go places with my family but I absolutely get worn out from all the work it takes to prepare.
So I had tea to help me with packing. This African Nectar tea was a farmers market find. It’s delicious. You can taste the notes of honey. I don’t add anything to it. It’s perfect.
The tea didn’t do enough for me so I popped some popcorn. It’s fat-free. Instead of putting in a plastic Tupperware bowl I used a real bowl. 😆 Believe it or not, it made a big difference.
I finally started packing for myself. By the time I got to myself I literally grabbed prints and colors and called it a day. I grabbed some swimsuits and that was that.
Then. Then. Then. My sweet daughter. A girl who was born with a twist out asked me to give her a twist out. She got a haircut in May and we’ve been talking about hair ever since.
I will be taking this small harvest with me to the beach. Please respect my privacy at this time.
And for my last bit of self-care I sat down to finish my binge of the new season of Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders.
I also ate pizza at Costco. So cheesy and good.
This past week was rough. I was so busy but I still found time to make myself feel special. That took a lot of effort.
See you tomorrow! 🖤✨
