Self-Care Sunday
Day Two
The day/night before the first day of school tends to have a special kind of feeling to it. It’s not the good kind of special that you feel the night before you leave for vacation or Christmas Eve. It’s almost like a looming cloud filled with angst is hovering over the entire weekend. It is even more intense on Sunday.
I knew today would be challenging for my workout. I’m exhausted from a week of errands, appointments and open houses. Legit tired. So please be very proud of the fact that I walked today.
I got on the treadmill at about 6:30pm after a long day of binge watching, “Our Kind of People”. It is such a good show. The show takes place on Oaks Bluffs island. I’m told the show only has one season which is too bad because it’s so good. I took a break from the show around 3:00 to cook dinner. Since I was up and moving I figured that was the time to workout.
If I didn’t do it at that time it would’ve never happened. I did a guided hills power walk while watching Somethings Gotta Give with Diane Keaton. That movie is so cute. I turned on the subtitles and muted the sound because Morning Dew was playing in my beats. I don’t know what she puts in her music but it gets me every time.
Anyway, my goal for this week is to tighten up on my food. I need to be eating more. 120g grams of protein, 30g of fiber and about 1800 calories. Hopefully that’ll get me headed in the right direction.
Can’t believe I updated again today!
