Self-Care Summer: 10/100
I didn’t do any of the stuff I said I would. In my defense, when I woke up I wasn’t in the mood to do hair.
I told myself that it wouldn't make sense to have a fresh wash-n-go today if I wasn't leaving my house. It would be better to have those fresh curls tomorrow.
After having a little breakfast (boiled eggs and toast) I revisited a book I got from the library. It's a design book that I initially scanned while waiting for my car at Honda. Today I peacefully flipped through each page paying attention to all the little details in each space.
This year it is one of my goals to transform a space in my house. I enjoyed being able to sit to find design inspiration.
I was a Mom for the better part of the day. An evening walk didn't seem like it was going to happen but it did!
After my walk I took a shower sans shower cap to encourage my hair to fluff up to a ‘fro. My earlier decision to not wash my hair turned out to be the right one.
I treated my hair to some of Cecred’s pricey hair growth drops and finishing oil. They both smell so good. They should really consider putting that fragrance in a body spray. I would buy it.
I took my time and used my scalp massager. Nothing could ever make me turn my back on this thing. It is the best.
Depending on how my hair looks in the morning I might go for that wash-n-go. Sometimes self-care is changing your mind to fit your mood.
See you tomorrow! 🖤✨
